Lack of NCLB focus on social studies seen in scores

Delaware officials say that because No Child Left Behind does not mandate testing in social studies, less emphasis often is placed on the subject. Educators there attribute an overall increase in state science scores to the NCLB requirement, which has yielded an enhanced focus on science and an infusion of money and time.
