Dutch reactor starts repair work

The High Flux Reactor in Petten, Netherlands, started its first repair activities Friday, the reactor's operator Dutch Nuclear Research and Consultancy Group said. The repair work for the next six months will focus on the reactor's primary cooling water system, NRG said. The group also said it is conducting discussions with government agencies, isotope producers and clients in an effort to secure the supply of medical isotopes.
