What defines an entrepreneur?

Raffi Amit, who runs the Wharton Entrepreneurial Programs at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, argues that his research shows there are "no unique and defining characteristics of entrepreneurs," meaning that anyone can learn the necessary skills. Venture capitalist Fred Wilson writes that he isn't so sure. Entrepreneurs seem to have at least five defining characteristics, he writes, including "a stubborn belief in [oneself]" and a greater tolerance for risk.
