New Jersey schools plan to outsource janitor jobs

Schools in Glen Rock, N.J., are set to outsource the jobs of about 50 custodians and teachers' aides after the workers' union blocked moves to reduce their health benefits. School board officials blamed the union for refusing to negotiate reductions in workers' benefits, but union officials said their position had been misrepresented and that they had been "unfairly and deliberately made to look like the villain."
