Coalition says accuracy, context must be shored up for Sunshine Act to succeed

The Coalition for Healthcare Communication is calling for significant revisions – as well as further notice and opportunity for comment – to ensure that data submitted under the Sunshine Act are accurate and placed in proper context for the public, according to the Coalition’s comments on the proposed rule. “Although the Coalition understands the importance of transparency, there are numerous issues that need to be resolved – and further commented on by all stakeholders – if the rule is to fulfill its intended purpose,” said Coalition Executive Director John Kamp.
