Billboard adds YouTube data to Hot 100 formula

Billboard announced Tuesday it has started using video-streaming data from YouTube as a factor in creating its Hot 100 singles chart, in addition to previous factors such as radio airplay and digital download sales. The new formula is aimed at taking into account the viral success of videos for songs such as "Harlem Shake," which debuted this week at number one on the chart.
