BITS' Smocer says cyberbill is good for banks

Paul Smocer, president of BITS, the technology policy division of The Financial Services Roundtable, says information sharing is key to keeping financial services companies ahead of cyberattackers. If passed by Congress, the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act will set up such a framework for sharing of nonpersonal data across industries. "We all recognize this is a fairly constant battle we are in. This is something that, collectively, we all need to keep a very strong focus on," Mr. Smocer said.
