Hospitals may get PCMH certification, Joint Commission says

Acute- and critical-care hospitals that include primary care services in their ambulatory care offerings may now be certified as primary care medical homes, the Joint Commission said. Operational attributes in patient-centered care, health care access, and a systems-based quality and safety approach are among the certification requirements.
