JPMorgan raises alert on emerging markets

Weaker fundamental and technical factors are pointing to a "significant correction" in emerging markets, JPMorgan says. Among the warning signs are indications of an imminent credit pullback in China and falling exports for South Korea. "We see no near-term changes to these conditions, hence we fear emerging markets may continue to underperform and be a funding source for Japan," where equities have been climbing, writes Adrian Mowat, Morgan's chief Asia and emerging-market strategist.
