Through its John Deere Credit unit, Deere & Co. has helped to develop wind farms capable of powering more than 2 million homes. For farmers in five states hoping to maximize return on their real estate investment, Deere helps provide financing to purchase and install wind turbines, which cost up to $1 million each. "John Deere Wind Energy makes it easy for landowners to profit from renewable energy with minimal investment," according to the company.
