Nuclear may be more cost-efficient than critics say

Climate-change advocates should pay attention to a Massachusetts Institute of Technology study which indicates nuclear energy could compete with fossil fuels if loan guarantees lead to reactors built without delays and going over budget, says the Washington Post editorial board. "But given that nuclear power produces essentially no carbon emissions, it's an appealing option for consistent and relatively clean electricity generation," the editorial argues.
