Tony Foreman, who owns some of Baltimore's most ambitious and expensive restaurants with his wife, chef Cindy Wolf, said they are "in the business to please our guests," not to "beat the recession." Their company, which runs four restaurants and two wine shops, resists slashing prices because "when you discount a lot of stuff, you devalue what you do," he said.
