Electronic ICU gives Tift's staff extra monitoring help

The Electronic ICU monitoring system at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Ga., gives physicians and nurses an extra set of eyes, even from hundreds of miles away in St. Louis. The system rings an electronic doorbell to alert patients it is turning on, and critical care specialists, who have access to patient records, can help guide nurses and technicians until the local doctor arrives.
