API criticizes plan to repeal oil, gas tax incentives

The Treasury Department introduced a corporate-tax-reform proposal on Wednesday that would extend renewable-energy tax credits while repealing several tax incentives for oil and natural gas companies. "This isn't a serious effort for uniform tax reform, if all he's doing is shuffling the deck chairs and picking winners and losers," said Jack Gerard, president and CEO of the American Petroleum Institute.
