FCC issues signal-booster rules, gives carriers more control

Federal regulators last week sought to minimize the potential for interference from cellphone signal boosters by issuing new signal-booster-focused rules and requiring consumers to obtain permission from wireless carriers before deploying them. Wilson Electronics, a signal-booster developer, contends the devices in question will meet interference requirements before they hit the market.
