How to help spa patients with anxiety disorders

Clients who come to a spa with an anxiety disorder need more than a soothing environment, experts say. They need a spa technician who understands that their agitation and fear are not garden-variety anxiety and who can engage in quiet small talk, explain each procedure before it happens, show them the disinfection process and take other steps to soothe their worries.
