Energy Micro adds low-power, ARM-based MCU line

Energy Micro has introduced the EFM32 Wonder Gecko microcontroller, based on the Cortex-M4F design from ARM Holdings, which it says consumes only 180 microamperes per megahertz. Made with an 0.18-micron low-leakage complementary metal-oxide semiconductor process, the devices are scheduled to be available for sampling in the third quarter of this year.
