Many U.S. children consume too much fruit juice, poll shows

The University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital National Poll on Children's Health showed that 35% of parents said their children ages 1 to 5 drink two or more glasses of juice a day, despite the American Academy of Pediatrics' recommended one glass of fruit juice per day for children ages 1 to 6. The poll found that 49% of parents with annual household income less than $30,000 and 23% of those with incomes of $100,000 or more reported that their children consumed two or more glasses of juice a day.
