Mississippi advances bill to expand charter schools

Lawmakers in the Mississippi Senate on Wednesday voted to approve a measure allowing the expansion of charter schools in the state. The bill would allow students across the state to attend charters, and would allow charters to be established in all districts, pending veto options in 32 districts that are highly rated. The bill now moves to the state House.
