Advanced treatments offer hope for cancer-stricken pets

Cancer is a common cause of death among senior dogs, but it also is one of the most treatable, thanks to advances in cancer therapy, writes veterinarian Stephen Sheldon. Pets diagnosed with cancer now have more chances of surviving the illness and living longer through chemotherapy and other treatments, Sheldon writes.
