Forensic veterinarian helps animals and people

Forensic veterinarian Patricia Norris works on animal cruelty cases for a sheriff's department in New Mexico, a rarity since many veterinary forensics professionals work for rescue organizations. Dr. Norris also consulted on several animal hoarding episodes for the TV show "Hoarders," a role she finds rewarding because she helps both the animals and people living in detrimental conditions.
