AppCertain to migrate "net nanny" app into anti-virus function

The AppCertain's "net nanny" application for iOS devices informs parents via e-mail when their children install an app, explaining what it does and whether it's age-appropriate, writes Sarah Perez. The company plans to add an Android version in the future, and move into the anti-virus area. "Anti-virus is absolutely broken. With mobile devices there's an opportunity to fix it. What we're really interested in is understanding the behavior of every mobile application," says CEO Spencer Whitman.
