ACC pursues dialogue with EPA on chemical industry regulations

The chemical industry is engaging the Environmental Protection Agency on issues including chemical-data reporting, pre-manufacture notices and other rules using the existing framework of the Toxic Substances Control Act. "We are working with our members to educate them and propose real solutions to the many issues faced under TSCA," said the American Chemistry Council's Scott Jensen. "We also want to ensure that the EPA gets quality data and is made aware of our members' concerns, and that we as an industry understand the agency's goals," he said.
