Adjusters following up on claims can help reduce the costs of doctor-dispensed medication for injured employees even as technology is increasingly used to review workers' compensation bills, observers say. Physicians' dispensing of prescription drugs is a top concern for insurers and employers because of concerns that the drugs could be more costly than those from pharmacies, according to a CompPharma survey.
