Comcast to replace GE atop 30 Rockefeller Plaza

General Electric's sale of its remaining shares of NBCUniversal to Comcast included the naming rights for the network's longtime New York headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. That means the neon "GE" sign that replaced "RCA" atop the building in the 1980s will eventually give way to a new name, provided the company can win approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission.
