Darden to open fewer Olive Gardens

Darden Restaurants plans to cut back new Olive Garden openings from 36 to 15 or fewer per year as the chain struggles to turn around slowing sales, executives said Monday. Additionally, the company expects to limit price increases at Olive Garden, Red Lobster and LongHorn Steakhouse to 1% this year. "The price premium attached to casual dining is getting tougher to justify," said COO Drew Madsen.
