Internet continues tradition of free, ad-supported TV

Online-content producers are stepping up as a source for entertainment that is delivered for free and supported by advertisers, writes Colin Dixon of nScreenMedia. An NPD report says 12% of U.S. television consumers streamed free online content over the prior three months, with Hulu accounting for 43% of streaming free-TV content.
