Mich. city manager gives 8 months' notice

Muskegon, Mich., City Manager Bryon Mazade says he will retire Oct. 1, after almost two decades of leading the city. "It has been a very positive experience working with Bryon," said Mayor Steve Gawron, who has worked with Mazade for 12 years. "Bryon has done a great job assembling and leading the administrative team at Muskegon City Hall." Mazade says he is providing such advance notice so the City Council can find a replacement before he steps down.
