Microsoft touts developer interest in Windows Phone 8 apps

Microsoft said it now has more than 130,000 applications in the Windows Phone Store, and more important, downloads are up 75% since the introduction of Windows Phone 8, leading to a 91% increase in paid-app revenue. "More than 40,000 new developers registered with the company in the first 90 days since the launch of Windows Phone 8, and there are now over 15,000 apps in the store that leverage features only available in Windows Phone 8," writes Frederic Lardinois, adding Microsoft has opened a mobile version of its Dev Center dashboard.
