Review: Adult stem cells beneficial in heart, autoimmune diseases

Blood- and bone marrow-derived adult stem cell transplantation resulted in disease-remitting effects in patients with autoimmune diseases and showed potential to improve heart function among those with coronary artery disease, an analysis of studies shows. Review authors said that more research must be done to determine the full potential of the technique.
