Lawmakers reintroduce emergency medical services bill

A bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers has reintroduced legislation calling for a special commission to review access to emergency medical services. The bill also directs CMS to develop standards governing the practice of "boarding" patients and ambulance diversion. The measure would increase Medicare reimbursement for emergency department-related care by 10%.
