Oregon lawmakers favor giving teachers access to junk food in school

Lawmakers in Oregon's House voted Thursday in favor of allowing teachers to buy soda and candy in the teacher's lounge that their students are unable to purchase in school. Lawmakers said a measure that passed in 2007, banning unhealthy food from being sold in schools, was never meant to encompass what teachers could buy in their break room.
