Netease wins OK to offer "World of Warcraft" in China

Netease, the company that holds the Chinese rights to the latest version of "World of Warcraft" from Activision Blizzard, has received approval from China's General Administration of Press and Publication to offer the game in that country. The new version was released in China on Sept. 19, but the GAPP in November told Netease it could no longer charge players despite the fact that it still had to pay licensing fees to Activision.
