Cord-cutting threat may be "overblown," analyst says

Data showing that pay TV increased its rolls by 129,000 in the fourth quarter and might have finished 2011 with a 63,000 increase in subscribers indicates the cord-cutting threat may be "overblown," Credit Suisse analyst Stefan Anninger says. Miller Tabak analyst David Joyce notes that the cord-cutting phenomenon is mostly limited to younger people. "It is at the fringe," he said.
