AT&T won't reduce Internet speeds under "6 strikes" rules

AT&T will seek to educate its customers about distributing copyrighted content -- rather than slowing their Internet connections -- under the new Copyright Alert System. "Our commitment remains with our customers and that is why the approach we developed is focused on customer education rather than punishment," the company said in a statement.
