HSBC warns that "Abenomics" has global implications

"Abenomics" in Japan could reverberate globally, HSBC Holdings warns in a report that lays out a list of potentially destabilizing dangers that include "widening current account deficits, hot money inflows and a proliferation of capital controls," the report says. "The world seemingly has yet to find a way of coping with periods during which the Japanese have attempted to kick-start their economy," HSBC economist Stephen King wrote in the report. Meanwhile, analysts say markets are already tuning in to the latest rumors over who will be nominated to head the Bank of Japan.
