JPMorgan will cut workforce by 17,000 over 2 years

JPMorgan Chase plans to cut 17,000 jobs this year and next, mostly in the consumer banking and mortgage units. Officials say the bank will cut about 4,000 of the positions through attrition. The move is aimed at reducing expenses by $1 billion annually.
