Macy's sees strong sales growth with omnichannel approach

Macy's strategy of tailoring merchandise mixes to local markets, boosting staff training and building its omnichannel selling efforts paid off in a 7% rise in sales in the fiscal fourth-quarter, the retailer said Tuesday. "We continue to see significant upside opportunity ahead in those strategies that have worked so well since we reorganized the company in 2009," said CEO Terry Lundgren.
