Meal program feeds need in Wash. district

A school district in Washington state has launched an after-school meal program at five schools, in which students are served meals consisting of protein, grains, milk, fruits and vegetables. Officials say the program helps ensure that students in the district -- 70% of whom qualify for free and reduced-price meals -- do not go hungry after school.
