Norwegian Air's huge order raises eyebrows

Norwegian Air has put in a big order for about 260 Boeing 737-800s, 737-8 Max twin jets and Airbus A320neos. In 2011, it had only 62 aircraft in its fleet. "Furthermore, Norwegian is acquiring the Boeing 787 to begin low-cost, international service, a concept that has struggled for success ever since the days of Laker Airways' SkyTrain service," writes aviation industry insider Scott Hamilton.
