American flight attendants choose new union leader

The American Airlines flight attendant who played a lead role in the company's 1993 strike has been elected president of the airline attendants union. Laura Glading is expected to enter contract negotiations in the next few weeks. She said she will demand the $340 million in annual wage and benefit concessions given in 2003 be given back "with interest."
