AT&T plans to have 15,000 alt-fuel vehicles by 2018

AT&T is planning to increase its number of alternative-fuel vehicles to 15,000 by 2018, said AT&T Connecticut President Rodney Smith. The company uses 274 alternative vehicles in Connecticut, and nearly all of them run on compressed natural gas. "When it comes to big trucks, natural gas is a natural choice. Not only is it abundant, affordable, and American -- which means it's good for companies' bottom line[s] and the nation's economy -- but it also burns cleaner than diesel fuels and is better for our environment," said Rep. John Larson, D-Conn.
