Birth defect concerns rise with Rx use in pregnancy

An increase in the number of women taking medication during pregnancy is raising concerns about fetal development and birth defects. Around 90% of women take at least one medication during their pregnancy, according to the CDC, with the FDA estimating 10% of birth defects are the result of medications ingested.
