Federal cloud adoption on verge of takeoff

It's taken more than a few years, but federal government agencies are primed to embrace cloud technologies on a big scale in a quest to save money and improve efficiency across IT operations. Annual federal cloud spending is predicted to total $3.1 billion by 2017, a healthy spike from the $734 million invested in fiscal 2012, says research firm Deltek. "The rubber is really starting to hit the road for cloud adoption at the federal level, and we have seen it pick up in the states as well," said Kloudtrack's Michael Binko.
