Firms appeal Maine DEP's rejection of wind project

Passadumkeag Windpark and Penobscot Forest are appealing the Maine Department of Environmental Protection's decision to deny a permit to a proposed wind project on Passadumkeag Mountain. The criteria used by state regulators to deny a permit to the 14-turbine project on aesthetic grounds was flawed, the companies said in their appeal.
