The former Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas is undergoing a $415 million makeover and will emerge as the SLS Las Vegas hotel and casino. The project will create 1,600 construction jobs and work should be complete in the fall of 2014. "Hopefully, it spurs some development," said Justin Michaels with the Strip Gun Club. "It's more construction jobs, more money going into the payroll taxes, the property taxes, so it would be a benefit to the community as a whole."
