Pandora to reduce free play on mobile devices

Pandora will limit free play of streaming music on mobile devices to 40 hours per month, due to the cost of royalties. "After a close look at our overall listening, a 40-hour-per-month mobile listening limit allows us to manage these escalating costs with minimal listener disruption," Pandora founder Tim Westergren wrote Wednesday in a blog post. More than three-quarters of its users listen to Pandora on mobile devices, according to the company.
