Consumers who shop via Pinterest spend about $170 per session on average, e-commerce consultant RichRelevance says. Nordstrom is among the companies that differs its marketing strategy on Pinterest from other social media sites, featuring lifestyle images rather than individual items for sale. Experts say Pinterest followers tend to cost less to acquire than are followers on Facebook.
