Sony's Lynton: We're open to new distribution windows

Michael Lynton, who heads Sony's film and music businesses in North America, said it's possible that Sony Pictures Entertainment might allow consumers at home to watch a new release before the movie comes out on DVD, if they are willing to pay a premium fee for the viewing. The Sony studio also has to contend with social media-based feedback about its movies and television shows on Facebook and Twitter, he notes in this interview.
