TDS to buy Baja Broadband in $267 million deal

Baja Broadband is being acquired by Telephone and Data Systems, parent of TDS Telecommunications, for $267.5 million. The transaction requires approval from regulators and is expected to be finalized in the third quarter. Baja Broadband, which is owned by private-equity firm M/C Partners, offers residential and business video, broadband and voice services in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Utah.
